JULIE HALL-ALLISON APPOINTED TO LOCAL
FIRST THINGS FIRST REGIONAL COUNCIL

YAVAPAI COUNTY, Arizona - On June 14th, Julie Hall-Allison was approved by the statewide Board of First Things First (FTF) to serve as the philanthropic representative on the organization’s Yavapai Regional Partnership Council.

First Things First is the voter-created statewide organization that works to ensure all young children are healthy and ready to succeed when they enter school.

Decisions about how those funds will be spent are made by regional councils comprised of volunteers who know best what children in their communities need. The Yavapai Region includes all of Yavapai County and Sedona.

“Making sure our young children are on the right track is the best way to influence the future,” Hall-Allison said. “(By serving on the Yavapai Regional Partnership Council,) I would like to play a more active role in helping the conditions improve for the children in Arizona.”

Hall-Allison has a strong background in philanthropy. When she resided in California, she started the Women’s Fund of Monterey County, a foundation to improve the lives of women and girls, as well as a scholarship fund for a girls’ middle school. She currently works with the Yavapai County Community Foundation, an organization that secures, manages and allocates donors' gifts for charitable purposes in Yavapai County while working to improve the quality of life for local residents. Hall-Allison is also a part of Prescott Area Leadership, a program to develop community leaders in Yavapai County.

She is especially passionate about hunger and poverty issues, and working to ensure all children in our community have a consistent source of nutritious food. Her experience and qualifications will bring a valuable perspective to the Yavapai Regional Partnership Council of First Things First.
